HOW TO REGISTER

To get started, you’ll need to register online with the Virginia Workforce Connection at www.vawc.virginia.gov. This database contains a variety of self-service materials to aid your job search, and it lets you search through job postings while employers search for you.

This video will lay out all the details of our programs so you have a clear understanding of what we can do and what you’ll need to do. This page also contains answers to some frequently asked questions, information on needed documentation, and additional resources for you to jumpstart your job search.

Once eligibility is determined, you will complete your skills assessment and career evaluation. Together, we use these results to select a career path that suits your abilities and interests.

Work one-on-one with one of our professionals to come up with an employment plan to get you to your ultimate goal. We’ll ensure that you have the support and resources you need to be successful.

For those who need and desire additional training or education, we have a variety of options. These include traditional schooling, online classes, work experience, internships, apprenticeships, on-the-job training, and occupational certificates.
