Training and skills development can take many forms. One such way is the issuance of vouchers for our enrolled customers to take advantage of occupational skills training in fields that position them better for jobs and occupations locally in demand.
In order to receive our funding, training providers must first seek approval through an application process to have programs approved for inclusion on Virginia’s Eligible Training Provider list.
The Board is especially interested in programs that will lead to industry-recognized credentials and certificates that position people for opportunities that pay at or above the region’s living wage. Maximum investments are weighted toward training to support the Board’s target industries of health care, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, and professional, scientific, and technical services.
Training Providers Application Process

If you are experiencing issues with setting up your account or programs, please click here to view :
- Click “Sign in/ Register” link
- Scroll down and click “Provider Registration”
- Create a unique username and password. Fill in required (*) fields.
- Complete information fields.
- Once registration is complete, Virginia Works will verify your account and send you a notification about your registration status.
If you have a profile and know your Username and Password:
- Enter your user ID and password
- Click “Sign In” button
If you are experiencing issues with setting up your account or programs, please click on the links below for training videos:
If you have a profile but do not know your username and password:
- Click “Forgot Username and Password” link
- Select Option 3 to retrieve both
- Select Provider
- Fill in required fields and click “verify”
- Your username should appear. Create a password and select a security question to answer
- Click “Save”
Virginia's Eligible Training Provider List
The Capital Region Workforce Development Board makes training support available to individuals at approved and qualified training providers.
Visit www.VaWC.virginia.gov and click on “training providers” towards the bottom-right side of the page to access a searchable database of all approved training providers in Virginia.
